Matt & I have been talking about doing this for a while, but we are FINALLY getting around to organizing it:

Prom is just around the corner (Friday, April 27), and there are lots of kiddos who struggle to be able to get the clothes together for a formal dance (this is true with Winter Formal, as well). I would like to be able to put together a "Clothes Closet" for these events. Any donations of slacks, button up shirts, ties, belts, shoes, and dresses would be appreciated! If there are small issues with clothing, like missing buttons or a zipper that doesn't work, we will still take them. Also, I was thinking of getting some gift cards to Chili's, Applebee's, Santa Fe, etc. for some of the kids who don't have the money to go out and eat before prom. turquoise color prom party selections

We have had a bunch of teachers purchase meals for students and even buy clothes/rent tuxes so that these kids can have a fun night. Our counselor has many times paid for girls to get their hair, makeup, and nails done, out of her own pocket. Several parents have done the same types of things for kids other than their own children! I think that there are a lot of people out there that would like to help, or might let me know when they see some of these things on sale, so that's why I am putting this out here.
