It was great to see everyone at the meeting today. All the information about gym address, training times, Just Giving etc is here, for everyone that came and for those who weren't able to make it!

This event will, without doubt, be one of the best experiences you will ever have. At the end of the 8 weeks training you will be fitter than ever, in the best shape of your life and you will also have helped raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Training Is FREE and you will box on a massive glamorous event in front of 1000+ people. You can pick your own ring name and music for your ring entrance and hopefully have loads of your mates there to cheer you on.
TICKETS
All boxers are expected to sell at least 10 standing or VIP tickets before the event. Standing tickets are £20 each. Ticket sales pay for the event and make sure that there's a good atmosphere when you box.
You are expected to sell the first 10 tickets by the end of week two.
After this you will be confirmed on the event and be insured to take part.
VIP TABLES
As most people know these are now SOLD OUT!
If you have already paid a deposit you will need to pay the balance off by 2 weeks before the event.
You will be given wrist bands for your VIP guests approx a week before the event once matching and table plans have been done.

DRESS CODE
Please note that the event is a black tie/formal event with cocktail dresses for ladies. If guests do not wear black tie, they must wear, as a minimum, a suit, shirt, tie and normal shoes. Anyone wearing jeans, chinos, trainers etc will be refused entry by security. It is also a strictly over 18 event.
CANCER RESEARCH
The event is held to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Each boxer is expected to raise funds (suggested £50) via a Just Giving page which is linked to our group. This can be set up at this page:

Money that goes into your Just Giving page linked to the event will be added to our team total for the event.
SPONSORSHIP
Your employer or anyone with a business can advertise their business on your vest at a cost of £50. If they pay £50 into your Just Giving account, you can then email me their logo and we will get it printed onto your vest with their name. You can have as many sponsors as will fit on your vest - usually up to 3. tight wedding dresses
TRAINING
The training will run for 8 weeks with the main event on Saturday 22 March at The Royal Armouries - training starts on Tuesday 30 January at 8.15-9.15pm.
Training is at Bad Company Gym, Glenthorpe Crescent off Torre Road LS9 7QP.
TUESDAYS 8.15-9.15PM
FRIDAYS 8.00-9.00PM
Everyone will train together for 8 weeks (don't worry if you can't make every session, we understand that you have family and work commitments) but please aim for at least 50% of the sessions. You will box someone from the group of a similar weight, size and ability.
EQUIPMENT
All you will need for the training sessions is a pair of 16oz gloves, a gum shield and hand wraps. You can buy these at sports stores or we have them available for sale at the gym. Training is on mats so either in bare feet or soft soled Boxing boots only please.
On Fight Night gloves, head guards, the vest (with your name, ring name and sponsor logos on it) will be provided by UWCB. You will provide your own shorts, gum shield, groin guard (men), footwear and wraps.

BOXING AGREEMENT and MEDICAL FORM
You are required to sign a Boxing Agreement form and medical form (in your Intro pack). This has to be handed in as soon as possible please.
