It seems as though tears fall pretty easy these days and today is no exception. I lay awake entirely too many nights wondering if our work as ministers of the Gospels is doing any good. Are lives being changed for the sole purpose of glorifying God through Jesus Christ? Are people being transformed in Christ? And then this happens...

I am not a minister at Heartland but I know many who attend there. They are blessed to have facilities that 99% of the area churches do not have. And they open those facilities up often in the name of Christ. Last week, they joined with churches across the US to host a prom for over 90,000 incredibly abled men, women, and children. As you look at the pictures, you will see lots of smiles. Lots of fun. But I invite you to take another look. A close look. Look beyond the dresses and black ties. Look in the eyes. Because there, in every single picture you can see the face of Jesus Christ.

So, tonight I’m going to sleep well because the Kingdom of God shined bright this past week across our community and across our country. I’m deeply proud of my brothers and sisters for loving well and allowing Christ to love right back.
