Project Summary:
This is a 10 minute Kino London one location short focused on an emotionally fuelled wedding negotiation between both sets of families. This is a character study with elements of comedy and much drama. The ethnicity and background of each family are West London Russian and East London Jewish, both of which are involved in the criminal underworld. Character Breakdown:

Benny
Larger than life middle aged male who is an East End wideboy, Jewish ancestry but not religious. Gregarious and hospitable. Tradition and family values are important to him. Open to his daughter's marriage but is misguided in what he thinks will impress his peers. Main antagonist to VIKTOR. Middle aged 45-55 years old.

(Confident with learning phonetics as there is substantial Russian dialogue spoken with varied emotions)

Viktor
Russian financial criminal. Stoic, dresses well (tailored) but plainly in order to not draw attention to himself. Resents his son's decision (Alexander) to marry BENNY'S daughter as it will not further his position or power in business. Middle aged 45-55 years old.

Pat
Enthusiastic helicopter parent to their daughter (unnamed), likes to poke her nose into everyone else's business. Middle aged 45-55 years old.

Dominika
Outwardly appears to be gentle, idealistic but not naive. Supportive of her husband but quietly powerful and patient. Glamorous but aging trophy wife to VIKTOR. 40-55 years old.

Pauly
Tough cockney lacky of BENNY. Not too bright but very streetwise with a blazé attitude to life. Brash but friendly. He's into football and boxing. Obedient to BENNY but will shirk any work if he feels he can get away with it. 23-28 years old.

Uri
Slavic look, broad, tough and a little cold in expression. Driver for his boss VIKTOR. Obedient to VIKTOR. Opens up to show a friendlier side / stark contrast to immediate persona. 23-32 years old.
